Jack Caruana

Jack is the founder and CEO of Alumni Advising Co. He graduated from Westlake High School in Austin, Texas with a 4.0 GPA. After high school, Jack received his degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. During his time at Arkansas; Jack was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon, The University Conduct Board, and held an Executive Board position at The American Society of Civil Engineers (A.S.C.E.). Jack now works for a civil engineering firm in Fort Worth, Texas tasked with the design and construction management of several K-12 schools in north Texas.

Maddy Vann

Bachelor of Arts in Psychology - The University of Arkansas

J.D. Candidate - The University of Tulsa College of Law

Maddy graduated from Glendale High School in Springfield, Missouri. After high, school Maddy attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville pursuing a degree in Psychology with the intention of attending law school. Maddy is now in her final semester at the University of Tulsa, College of Law. After graduation, Maddy plans to enter the field of criminal prosecution as an Assistant District Attorney at the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney's office in Fort Worth.

Our Why

Choosing the right college is one of the most important and overwhelming decisions a family can make, yet students are often left to navigate the process with limited, outdated, or impersonal guidance. Alumni Advising Co. was created to bridge that gap by offering near-peer mentorship from recent graduates who have firsthand experience with today’s admissions landscape. We provide families with clear direction, personalized support, and a relatable guide who understands both the academic pressures and emotional challenges of this journey. Our mission is to make college planning less stressful, more informed, and genuinely student-centered.

While applying for college, Jack used an external college advisor as well as a school provided college counselor. Despite the support of 2 advisors, Jack felt mismatched with all the suggested universities. He felt as though all the recommended colleges were merely based on academics not on personality. Jack founded Alumni Advising Co. to help students find a University they love and will also set up their future professional careers.
